The Browns still have a shot to get more value out of their trade that sent three first-round picks and three lower picks to Houston for Deshaun Watson. Here's a look at some of the worst trades in the NFL over the years:HERSCHEL WALKER TO MINNESOTAPhotos You Should See View All 60 ImagesThe Cowboys launched their dynasty in the 1990s when Jimmy Johnson realized the high value of draft picks and turned Herschel Walker into a huge haul of them. The trades helped Dallas acquire draft picks that led to Emmitt Smith, Darren Woodson, Russell Maryland and Kevin Smith, who contributed to three Super Bowl titles. That led the Falcons to cut ties quickly, trading him after the season to Green Bay for a first-round pick. But the Seahawks were able to turn him into a first-round pick from quarterback-starved Chicago in 1997.

Kansas City Chiefs: Are they the newest NFL dynasty?

The Kansas City Chiefs will appear in their fourth Super Bowl in five seasons when they take to the field in Las Vegas on February 11 against the San Francisco 49ers. And, like the early era of the Patriots, the Chiefs don’t look like they’re stopping any time soon. To the surprise of many, given Smith’s improvement under Reid, Kansas City selected Patrick Mahomes out of Texas Tech. Mahomes has two MVP awards, two Super Bowl wins and two Super Bowl MVPS, while Brady had three Super Bowl titles, two Super Bowl MVPs and no NFL MVP awards. You don’t have to know a screen pass from a field goal to know something about the Kansas City Chiefs.”What do the Chiefs themselves think?

Disney's fiscal first-quarter earnings per share beat expectations and it said its full-year EPS will rise at least 20% from 2023. Iger also unveiled his strategy and timeline for bringing Disney's flagship sports network ESPN into the streaming era. AdvertisementThe company will launch a stand-alone streaming service with ESPN and its sister networks in the fall of 2025, something Iger called "inevitable." Even if there's consumer demand, the JV faces several hurdles, from challenges brought by existing distributors to antitrust opposition, LightShed Partners wrote in a note published ahead of Disney's earnings release. Challenges aside, the new sports streaming strategy is a big step forward for Iger and Disney.

PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Joel Embiid envisioned winning an NBA championship with James Harden at his side. The 76ers traded Harden this week to the Clippers for a package of players and draft picks, ending the promise of two NBA MVPs chasing a championship in Philly. As it is, the 76ers are 3-1 with Embiid putting up numbers like a player intent on defending his MVP crown. Now the Diamondbacks turn to the rookie right-hander for Game 3 of the NL Championship Series in an effort to slow the homer-happy Philadelphia Phillies, who have built a 2-0 lead in the best-of-seven playoff thanks to six homers. “Yesterday was a really frustrating outcome,” D-backs manager Torey Lovullo said Wednesday, a day after Philadelphia's 10-0 rout at Citizens Bank Park. The youthful playoff infusion is the continuation of one of the best regular seasons for rookie hitters in MLB history. Five rookies — Carter, Carroll, Baltimore’s Gunnar Henderson and Minnesota’s Royce Lewis and Edouard Julien — had OPS totals over 1.000, and Jung wasn’t far behind at .947. “I’d say adrenaline-wise, it’s probably felt about the same as the regular season, maybe a tiny bit more,” Carroll said. It's probably no coincidence that the Rangers started to struggle around the time he got hurt — the third baseman hit 23 homers during the regular season. In the first half of 2023, healthcare investors have written big checks for their top startup picks. 2023 is on track to be the lowest year of healthcare funding since 2019, Rock Health says. Digital-health startups in the US raised $6.1 billion in the first half of 2023, Rock Health's H1 2023 funding report published on Monday found. Right now, 2023 is on track to be the lowest healthcare funding year since 2019, according to Rock Health. April 25 (Reuters) - The New York Jets are excited to welcome four-time National Football League (NFL) most valuable player Aaron Rodgers after agreeing a deal with the Green Bay Packers that includes a swap of key draft picks, General Manager Joe Douglas said on Tuesday. Under the agreement for 39-year-old Rodgers, Green Bay will trade their 2023 first-round draft pick (15th overall) and their fifth-round pick for the Jets' first-round pick (13th overall), second-round and sixth-round picks, according to ESPN. "Obviously, we're comfortable with how this deal shaped," Douglas told a news conference. "I don't think anyone ever walks away from a negotiation where you feel like you won everything in terms of what's gone back and forth. The deal will also see Rodgers reunite with offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett, with whom he was paired in Green Bay when he won back-to-back MVP awards in 2020 and 2021.
CNN —Heading into the NFL Draft, there’s always one prospect coming out of college who everyone becomes infatuated with, despite not being the finished article. This year’s golden boy is Anthony Richardson and, in his unique case, he’s impressed at every stage of the process. Richardson ran the fastest 40-yard dash time of all quarterbacks, as well as jumping the highest and furthest at the Combine. With potentially nine picks in the opening 12 being held by quarterback-needy teams, Richardson could be finding a new home anywhere across the league. David Rosenblum/Icon Sportswire/Getty ImagesIt means that Richardson has just 13 career college starts to his name entering the draft.
Bryant had been known for his work ethic, which helped him win numerous NBA championships, titles, and even an Academy Award. Fellow NBA stars, like Michael Jordan, Shaquille O'Neal, and LeBron James, had mentioned Bryant's intense work ethic. Just hours before Bryant's death, LeBron James remarked that Bryant's work ethic had inspired him throughout his own NBA career. Tales of Bryant's work ethic have become folklore. From his early morning workouts to marathon shooting sessions, to a relentless desire to improve himself, here are some of our favorite examples of Bryant's work ethic.
That debate will get renewed attention in April when Ben Affleck and Matt Damon release "Air," a movie that recounts how Nike signed Jordan. "A lot of people want to take credit for signing Michael Jordan, most obviously Sonny Vaccaro." It's unclear if Vaccaro spoke with Knight, Vaccaro, or Jordan or if he relied on existing sources, including "Sole Man," an ESPN documentary about Vaccaro. Several books and news stories also have recounted how the Jordan deal came about, including parts of "Just do it," "Swoosh," and a sweeping 1992 story in the Washington Post. Regardless of the movie's spin on events, the Jordan deal was a pivotal moment for Nike.

The last WBC in 2017 Trout gave the event a pass and said on Friday he has regretted that decision.
